ACADEMIC HONOR AND INTEGRITY CODE INTRODUCTION
Señor Tesoro Academy aims to maximize each student’s full potential through a holistic learning program but not undermining the needed Christian ideals and ethics. We are committed to maximizing the educational journey of our dear Tesorans in an environment wherein all act with honesty, honor, and integrity. We believe that it is the responsibility of each individual to contribute and work in this environment of freedom and trust especially at times like this when we shift from face-to-face to online distance learning. Breaches of academic integrity by a student hinder the development of the environment of freedom and trust. Thus, learners must be aware of the possible consequences that might develop if they violate the honor and integrity of our respected academic institution, Señor Tesoro Academy.
LEARNER’S ACADEMIC HONOR AND INTEGRITY CODE
I know that academic honesty is critical to my own success, as well as to the mission of my academic institution in ensuring that honor and integrity are manifested by each stakeholder of Señor Tesoro Academy. I also understand that this code is, by its nature, limited not only to those situations spelled out in the code but includes the spirit of honesty and ethics implied by the written code. I agree that I will uphold not only the letter of the code but also its implied intent of ongoing commitment to full academic honesty.
AS A TESORAN LEARNER, I FULLY PLEDGE THAT I SHALL:
(1) Never submit school work of any kind that is not my property, nor ever give my work to other learners to submit as their own school work.
(2) Never post or share answers in our examinations, quizzes, or assessments on the Internet or in other public places, nor use answers from posted examinations or quizzes.
(3) Never provide a fake or forged document of signature to my academic institution.
(4) Never plagiarize and directly copy other’s works and properties in written, oral, or creative work.
(5) Be well informed about plagiarism and not use “lack of knowledge” as an excuse for engaging in plagiarism.
(6) Take assessments only after I have honestly completed the lessons leading up to that test or quiz.
(7) Never give or receive unauthorized assistance on assessments. I understand that all assessments are “closed‐book” and that no other persons shall provide assistance in answering and accomplishing the assessments in order for these assessments to be authentic and reliable for my own academic progress.
(8) Represent myself intelligently through my written assessments by proofreading and checking the contents of these school works such as spelling and grammar before submitting them as much as possible.
(9) Fulfill all my assessments on or before the stated reasonable deadlines given by my teachers with full honesty and faith.
(10) Read, understand, and follow the contents of the Student Handbook including the Academic Honor and Integrity Code.
(11) Adhere to all guidelines for proper use of the Internet and all other learning materials provided to me.
(12) Accept the consequences, including disciplinary action by my academic institution, of breaking this Academic Honor and Integrity Code.
